A-Word-For-You: Have you wanted something, really wanted something, .perhaps even talked to someone, or some people, to get them to agree to help you to get it. Has there ever been something so important to you that you really wanted it just stop, or wanted it to hurry up and happen, but knew you had to pray for it, because it was too big, or too hard, or just not possible to do unless you had a miracle.

Have you ever wanted something so bad that when it did not happen, or you did not get what you wanted, you were disappointed, depressed, or even angry? -And then when you thought about it, afterwards, the fact that you did not get what you wanted, still did not make sense to you. You somehow knew that what you wanted was not bad, or sinful, and you really believed that God was not against you, and yet things did not work out as you desired. Your hope was disappointed, deferred, and then and now, perhaps, your heart was sick. Well if you have experienced any of these symptoms, welcome to the valley of the rest of us. The only question now is how did you get here, and how long will you stay?
Some will stay forever in this place of sadness, frustration, denial, anger, depression, compromise and shame. They will medicate the symptoms. They will compromise or readjust their expectations, and attempt to never hope for something so fervently again. Others will medicate themselves with work, drugs, alcohol, anti-depressants, sound bites of religion, for example, the Lord giveth the Lord taketh away, and still others will simply accuse God, family and friends of failing them, and in the process dig themselves into an even deeper despair, and ultimately into the hall of Shame.
But God has provided an answer to the cry of the child, who simply says, father save me from this place, save me from this hour. He has provided a way of healing for your pain, the burdens of your life, the lost loved one, the false accusations, the loneliness, the unhealthy desires, the hate, the anger, depression, and more. He has provided a way for the one who simply says, father I am drowning, save me. If this is you, then know that there is a life line. To reach it you must see it, and to see it, you must take a moment, quiet yourself and listen. There is a word for you.
