Shame says, if it can touch you I can drain you; if I can shame you, I can paralyze you with fear.
Virtue can be taken from you without permission; but Jesus says I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy. Beware of the presence of Shame. It often comes with the trampling of your hopes. Consider what is happening when you allow Shame to come, in particular with regards to things that really do not have eternal significance. Miracle working power is often stolen by the little foxes. Beware, and do not be distracted. Our battle is not with flesh and blood, but with spiritual forces without and within. The kingdom of God is within. It suffers violence, and violent take it back by force. Is being letting others know that you are ”right” worth your soul?
